The target audience is the members of the BCPC and the Chancellor's Executive Committee. The format for a Feasibility Study parallels criteria used by the Board of Regents in prioritizing capital projects. A general outline is:
Notes:1) The Feasibility Study documents the desires of the Project Initiator and is not critically tested. 2) The study uses information known at the time the study is conducted. During program planning, additional information is gained about infrastructure capacities that may change project costs. 3) Cost developed in the study are expressed as cost ranges and these should be used in discussions about the potential project. 4) A typical Feasibility Study cost between $5,000 and $10,000
depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Some revent
projects have sought more definitive detail (usually done during program
planning) and have paid for market studies, building audits or other types
of consulting studies during this phase. |
