Boulder Campus Planning Commission The twenty-four member Boulder Campus Planning Commission (BCPC) is an advisory group to the Chancellor that reviews proposed capital projects on the Boulder Campus. The Commission, with input from the broadest spectrum of views, opinions, and expert advice, determines that all proposed capital projects support the academic goals of the University, adhere to the Boulder Campus Master Plan, reflect consideration for the historical development of the campus, preserve open space, and improve the environment on the campus. The Commission works with the Vice Chancellor for Administration and with Facilities Planning staff in the development, maintenance, and periodic review of the Campus Master Plan and other long-range planning documents. The Commission has the authority to make a detailed review of plans for all capital projects on the Boulder Campus and to coordinate the efforts of the various groups whose recommendations result in construction, renovation, or other physical development on the campus. The Commission recommends priorities for the annual capital budget request for construction and renovation on the campus. It also reviews all recommendations for the naming of buildings (policy, procedures). Other functions of the BCPC are outlined in the approved by-laws. BCPC meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m., in the Regent Administrative Center Room 302. Meetings are open to all interested persons. Summer meetings are called as needed.
